BTE's founder and Chairman Retires

  • On Friday 29th August, our Chairman, Ben Elliott retired after 35 incredible years as an industry leader.

The whole company came together to celebrate this huge milestone and we wanted to share some highlights from Rebecca Bryson’s speech that really hit the nail on the head.

As our MD, Becky, shared so perfectly, “the word legend is used far too easily these days… but we can all agree that Ben is an industry legend.”

Since founding the business 35 years ago, Ben’s impact has been remarkable. Over the past three decades alone, BTE has sold more than 17,000 Kubota machines – and of that phenomenal number, Ben personally sold over 5,500 himself. That achievement alone speaks volumes about his drive and commitment.

Ben’s “world-class reputation with customers, manufacturers, and even competitors” truly define his legacy. As Becky said, “you have become to many an inspiration as well as aspiration… simply the best mentor I could wish for.”

We want to thank Ben, his wife Judith, and his family for their dedication, sacrifices and support along this remarkable journey.

Ben, you will always be the DNA of BTE and while we will miss working alongside you day to day, your influence will remain a part of everything we do.

Here’s to you, Ben – an inspiration, a mentor, a legend, and above all a friend. We wish you the most amazing, happy and well-deserved retirement!
