BTE Plant Sales Gears Up for “Cycle for Santa” Charity Ride

As a company built on community spirit, BTE Plant Sales is calling on friends, customers and partners to come together for a special festive fundraiser: “Cycle for Santa” — a charity ride dedicated to giving back.

Supporting Charities That Matter

Rather than sending corporate Christmas gifts this year, BTE are turning their Christmas efforts into meaningful support for a selection of charities that reflect important causes in their network and communities.

The ride will raise funds for the following charities:

  • Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity — offering emotional, physical, and financial wellbeing support to construction-industry workers and their families.
  • Your Local Air Ambulance — providing vital emergency medical transport services across several counties.
  • ACTS Trust (Lincoln Foodbank) — supporting families in crisis through essential foodbank services.
  • Armley Helping Hands — delivering services to older residents in Leeds, helping reduce isolation and improve quality of life via befriending, transport, and healthy-living activities.
  • Heart Link (East Midlands Children’s Heart Care Association) — supporting families with children who have heart conditions, donating medical-equipment and improving facilities for young patients.
  • Hope Against Cancer — funding innovative cancer research and treatment in Leicestershire and Rutland, partnering with hospitals and universities to deliver impact locally and nationally.

Our Why: Community, Care and Commitment

At BTE, supporting charities isn’t a one-off gesture, it’s part of who we are. Since 1990, we’ve believed our success should ripple out to the communities that support us. Through fundraising, and awareness campaigns we aim to: help local people and families, build community spirit across our depots and bring colleagues, suppliers and customers together for common causes.

Every pound raised by the team goes directly to charities that make a difference, locally and beyond.

What to Expect: “Cycle for Santa” Details

The plan is simple: instead of corporate gifts or typical seasonal indulgence, BTE will take on a group-cycling challenge under the banner of “Cycle for Santa”. It’s an opportunity for staff, customers and partners to sponsor the ride, show solidarity for good causes and make this festive season one of giving.

Details on the event (via the Givewheel page, or QR code) can be found on the link below, and everyone who would have otherwise sent gifts is encouraged to support the campaign instead.

A Christmas with Purpose

The “Cycle for Santa” ride captures the spirit of giving, community, and care that BTE stands for. This year, more than ever, we hope customers, partners and friends of BTE will join us — not just in business, but in backing charities that support families, health, and community wellbeing across the UK.

Because at BTE, we believe success isn’t just about equipment and machines — it’s about people.
