Job Purpose:

Responsible for making sure sales targets are met within the designated sales area or territory and develop a close relationship with all their major accounts to grow business organically and to find new business.  To understand their products, market area, trends, opportunities and competitive activity. To serve as a point of contact for customers needs for both new, used and trade-in machines.  Provide regular reports to Commercial Director to aid future business planning.

Main Responsibilities:
• Building the business within the territory
• Targeting potential customers and assessing opportunities for sales
• Arranging meetings with potential customers 
• Cold calling companies within the territory and establishing needs
• Putting together a list of target companies within the area
• Analysing competitor activities in the region and assessing opportunities for business development
• Working to revenue targets and KPI’s as set by the Commercial Director
• Networking with businesses in the territory and building relationships
• Putting together sales strategies to target large accounts
• Keeping up to date with industry news to identify opportunities for new business
• Finding new customers and constantly expanding the business
• Monitoring sales data and keeping up to date with current market trends and customer needs 
• Monitor sales and profit for each account
• Aware of applicable company KPIs and business plan
• Be aware of all competitive activities within major account

Key Skills & Requirements:
• Previous experience working as a territory/area sales manager
• Relevant industry background 
• Excellent people skills and an ability to build relationships with people at all levels
• Proven track record of building business and hitting sales targets
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Sales experience essential 
• Demonstrable and successful sales track record
• Good technical background in product area is desirable
• Good presentation skills
• Proven record of effectively meeting sales quotas
• First class consultative sales skills
• Good disciplined use of CRM and administration
• Ability to complete management reports on time essential 
• Working closely with other sales reps
